Regenerative Farm

Our waking dream: to heal our soil, tend to our basic needs in a regenerative, congruent way, and share the experience with people who have a similar vision of taking care of our present for future generations.

How it started

We dedicated 6 hectares (15 acres) of our land to create the syntropic farm and secure our autonomy and make sure to provide organic and affordable food to everyone who cares of the quality of what they eat.

We were challenged with a soil that needed to be rebuilt almost from scratch, as the land had been overgrazed by cattle for more than 40 years.

When no one believed it was possible to grow anything here, we knew that by using permaculture, agroforestry, and regenerative agriculture techniques, we could have brought the soil back to being fertile.

We have diversified to around 200 different useful plant species, produced almost 200 tons of compost, and created a workshop that allows us to build everything we need.

How we did it

We believe that the soil has the power to regenerate itself when treated with the necessary care.

We assembled a team that shared this belief and possessed the knowledge and expertise to make it happen.

In practice, our approach involves building soil through compost, to which we add microbiology, minerals, charcoal, and other local waste materials like grass cuttings and cow manure.

Then we construct raised beds and hugelkultur edges on the platforms, planting numerous nitrogen-fixing plants, flowers, and biomass producers alongside medicinal and edible trees, shrubs, and climbing palms.

Moving forward

Now we have received feedback from nature and observed its cycles.

We built our first water reservoir and excited to see how it withstands its first rain season.

Our focus is shifting to building a greenhouse, planting more than 1,500 trees, and fostering as much biodiversity as possible.

Our ultimate goal is to populate all 6 hectares (15 acres) with a wide variety of plants, creating a self-sustaining living organism that can serve as a model for other projects and a learning platform for future generations.

We remain committed to the idea of producing organic, affordable produce to make it accessible to as many people as possible.

Our goals

- Produce organic, earth-caring products & to make them accessible to as many people as possible.

- Cultivate open-pollination organic seeds for a wide variety of useful plants and serve as guardians of this invaluable legacy.

- Transform into an educational center equipped to conduct workshops and internships.

- Educate as many individuals as possible on achieving food independence in various living conditions.

- Raise awareness about healthy food habits and the significance of biodiversity.

- Aspire to become both an international and local hub for permaculture, bio-construction, social technologies, and a wide range of knowledge sharing related to human coexistence.
