The future is rooted in community and accountability
I often say—the last thing we do at The ARK is real estate development. The ARK isn’t about that. It’s not about shiny crystal glasses in a fancy clubhouse with impeccable service or waiters in spotless white shirts. The ARK is about changing the mindset of living. It’s about reconnecting with the roots of life, finding true belonging for our authentic selves, and collectively creating massive change, often without even realizing it. The ARK is about people—people who know a better world is possible and choose to act rather than just talk.
Many are searching for a new model of living, and so are we. Intentional communities, despite being challenging to create and manage, don’t emerge because they’re great financial ventures. They arise because so many of us believe we can do better—together.
From the start, The ARK was conceived as a home first, and only after, as a business. We are building an extended home for all of us, where we are discovering a new stage of life, filled with more meaning and belonging than ever before.
As the founder of The ARK, I’ve always seen this project as more than just a development — it’s a home, a living, breathing community that we are building together. The success and sustainability of The ARK as a thriving living environment rely on experienced management, transparency, and accountability. I want to share the roadmap we’ve laid out for The ARK’s future, ensuring that our shared vision endures well beyond the initial stages of development.
I. Transitioning from Development to Long-Term Management
The ARK isn’t a project that will simply be handed over once the development phase is complete. Instead, the same team that has meticulously developed The ARK will transition into its management. This continuity is vital for maintaining the project’s integrity, ensuring that the same dedication and attention to detail that shaped The ARK will continue to guide its future.
Until the end of 2026, the development and management teams will be overseen by me, as the Founder and CEO of The ARK. During this period, decisions will be made centrally, focusing on the well-being of the project, our community members, and the broader community.
II. A New Era: Post-2026 Leadership
In 2026, I will step down as CEO and remain on the Board of Directors (BoD) to ensure continuity and provide guidance. A new CEO for The ARK Development will be appointed, and the BoD will be restructured to include directors from independent ARK companies (such as our Farm, School, and Clinic) and four community members. These community members will serve for four years each, joining the BoD one by one each year.
The selection process for these community members will be random, chosen from those who express a desire to serve. We see serving on the BoD as a responsibility rather than a reward, so we won’t conduct elections. This approach is designed to prevent the formation of alliances or conflicts of interest within The ARK, ensuring that the focus remains on the collective good.
III. Accountability and Shared Responsibility
The BoD, together with the management team, will be responsible for The ARK’s success as an enterprise. They will act in service to all community members, who are also shareholders of the project. To serve on the BoD, candidates must familiarize themselves with the principles of regenerative business and leadership, fully understanding The ARK’s concept and philosophy. This role is a significant responsibility, one that will influence the well-being of the entire community.
While the BoD will make all final decisions, both the BoD and the management team will remain open to suggestions from residents. We will establish designated channels of communication to ensure that everyone has a voice and can contribute to The ARK’s ongoing development and success.
We Are In This Together.
The ARK is more than just a development; it’s a vision for a sustainable, regenerative community that we are all building together. Our commitment to experienced management, transparency, and accountability ensures that The ARK will continue to thrive long after the initial development phase is complete. By transitioning the development team into long-term management and establishing a fair and balanced Board of Directors, we are laying the foundation for a community that will flourish for generations to come.
Thank you for being part of this journey.
I look forward to continuing to build our shared vision of The ARK together.
