Meet the community: Franca Garimani

Can you share a bit about your personal journey? What led you to move to Costa Rica and join The ARK?

I moved to Costa Rica 6 years ago. The first time I came here I came for a gut cleanse at Pachamama near Nosara, after that I traveled through Costa Rica for a couple of weeks and ended up in Santa Teresa. I fell in love right away with this place. In this trip I met a hotel owner who was looking for someone to work for them online. I instantly accepted and left Santa Teresa with a full heart and a new online job that allowed me to travel but deep down I knew I would be back. A bit after 1 year later he calls me and asks if I want to come 3 months to manage his hotel because he needs to travel. I said YESSS!! And embarked on this new adventure, I never knew though I would never leave.

I have been looking and feeling to live in community since I became a mother 4 years ago, its the only way that makes sense for me to live and raise children. We are not meant to do everything alone. We are not meant to be alone. Sharing and doing things together has been so beautiful these last months with The ARK collective. I actually have been visiting and looking at different villages for the past year and The ARK is the one that align with what im looking for.

What do you hope to bring to The ARK community?

I hope to bring nourishment, connection, health and lots lots of love. I want to share my passion for natural healing and empower our community to do the same, to understand how our bodies work and how easy it is to heal and feel great if we give our bodies the right tools. My values are connection, health, love, trust, creativity and joy.

What excites you most about this new chapter at The ARK?

Meeting amazing people from different countries and cultures and co-creating with them. And making beautiful life lasting connections and allowing my daughter to be raised as a free soul in a healthy and safe environment with like-minded people.
